Welcome to my World!
Ciao! My name is Rosanna De Luca, and I’m 42 years old, living in the lush green hills of Umbria, just outside the charming city of Perugia. Cooking has always been the heartbeat of my life—it started in my grandmother’s kitchen, where the scent of garlic sizzling in olive oil felt like a warm hug, and flour-dusted hands were a daily ritual.
I didn’t always work with food. For years, I was a translator, spending my days with words—beautiful, nuanced, delicate things. But it was in the kitchen, not at my desk, that I felt truly fluent. Food is its own language, after all—one that speaks to memory, to emotion, to love.
In my mid-thirties, I began teaching small cooking classes for visitors who wanted more than just recipes—they wanted to understand the soul of Italian food. That’s when I realized how much joy I found in sharing not just techniques, but stories. I wanted a space that could capture the warmth of my kitchen and the heart behind every dish. That’s how Mealifty was born.
Mealifty isn’t just a recipe collection—it’s a window into the way I cook, live, and celebrate life. I created it especially for women who, like me, love to explore new flavors, remember old traditions, and nourish their families with more than just meals. Whether it’s a rustic lentil soup passed down from my Nonna or a modern twist on tiramisù, every dish I share carries a piece of my story—and I hope it becomes part of yours.
My cooking style is all about balance: rustic but refined, traditional yet playful. I’m not afraid to try something new or laugh at a failed experiment (ask me about the olive oil gelato fiasco sometime!). To me, the kitchen should be a place of creativity and comfort, not perfection.
So pull up a chair, pour yourself a glass of something lovely, and let’s cook together. Welcome to Mealifty—welcome to my world.
