Description

Sticky honey garlic chicken thighs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish. The chicken is juicy and coated in a sweet and savory glaze.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip chicken and pour the honey garlic sauce over it.
  6. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Use an instant-read thermometer to check if the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce to balance sweetness and saltiness.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
