- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip chicken and pour the honey garlic sauce over it.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from oven and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Use an instant-read thermometer to check if the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Adjust honey and soy sauce to balance sweetness and saltiness.
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
